Signs of Overwatering
Swollen, translucent, easily-dropped leaves signal overwatering - jade plants store a lot of water in their leaves and rot quickly in soggy soil.
Signs of Underwatering
Wrinkled, slightly shriveled leaves that feel soft (but not mushy) mean the jade plant has been without water for a while and is drawing down its reserves.
